steam vacuum cleaner
Steam vacuum cleaners are, as the name suggests, equipped with extraction capabilities. Conventional steam cleaners are not equipped with this feature; as such, operators have to either use a separate vacuum cleaner to clean the surface or manually remove the dirt residues using a towel or a brush.

Steam vacuum cleaners became very popular because the machine merged the functionalities of a vacuum cleaner and a steam cleaner. Steam cleaners eject hot vapor onto surfaces to dissolve the stains and dirt . The attached vacuum then extracts the softened dirt residue away.

Introduction of ATIS®
ATIS® is an anti-microbial technology, introduced by Daimer®, that can further improve the performance of steam vacuum cleaners. The technology can kill off more than 99 percent of commonly found bacteria, fungi, and other disease-causing microorganisms.

At present, only one supplier, Daimer®, offers steam cleaners with this anti-microbial technology. Some models in the KleenJet® series offered by the company are equipped with this technology. These systems can kill bacteria and fungi even when the output temperature is kept low. These are particularly useful in cleaning health clubs, gyms, commercial kitchens, and hospitals.
